We had a wonderful time during yesterday's photoshoot. Joke helped a lot with her suggestions (dress, background choice, way of posing, etc.) and made us feel comfortable throughout the session. We were smiling and laughing which made the entire experience a happy and memorable one. Joke's professionalism behind the camera is admirable and her rapport with her clients is equally outstanding. Amazing experience. During the time when you need to be stress free and comfortable , and yet need to capture memorable moments of your life : Joke’s studio turns out to be the best decision. Our photoshoot with Joke was absolutely wonderful. What is the best time to schedule a maternity shoot?2023-03-03T13:07:10+01:00

Pregnancy photo shoots are best done when you are 7-8 months pregnant. Are you expecting a multiple birth or on bed rest? Then it is advisable to have your session a little earlier, when you are 6-7 months pregnant.

Did you gain little weight during your pregnancy? Then you can wait until 8-9 months, but of course always keep in mind that your baby could be born prematurely.

The idea is to have your session when your belly is nice and round, but before you start having potential ailments like swollen feet etc.

When should I book my maternity photo shoot?2023-03-03T13:07:04+01:00

For a maternity photo shoot, it is recommended to book your photo shoot as soon as you are 20 weeks pregnant. This way we have plenty of time to plan the photo shoot, make arrangements and I am definitely in a position to do your photo shoot. If you are a little later in your pregnancy, don’t hesitate to contact me, I may still have a spot available for you!

What attire is best to wear during my maternity shoot?2023-03-03T13:06:58+01:00

At the start of our photo shoot, you will have the opportunity to choose your favorite from my collection of maternity dresses. You can, of course, wear these during the photo shoot. Would you rather wear your own outfit? Of course, that’s no problem either!

My main advice is to wear something you feel comfortable as well as beautiful and good in. Wear skin-colored underwear and a supportive, well-fitting bra.

What should my partner/children wear?2023-06-10T18:58:11+02:00

I recommend that you also pay attention to clothing for your partner and children. It is nice if your partner’s and children’s attire is similar to your attire. This does not mean that everyone should wear the exact same colors, but it is nice if you use the same style and color palette.

If you opt for a fancy/formal look during your photo session, keep in mind that your partner and children will also be wearing a more formal style. If you are coming for a casual photo shoot, have your partner and children come in simpler attire. By the way, avoid logos, texts, busy patterns, etc. on clothing. This is very distracting.

Once you have booked your photo shoot, you will receive a brochure containing some tips on how to best match clothing.

About a week before the photo shoot, you will receive a detailed email from me with various tips to prepare for our photo shoot. Be sure to check out my blog already for fun articles in preparation for our photo shoot.

When and how do I get to see the photos from the photo shoot?2023-03-10T09:46:59+01:00

After the photo shoot, I make a wide selection of the best photos. These photos will be posted on an online gallery and sent to you via email. From this gallery you can select your favorite photos and order any extras. Your favorite photos I will manually edit for you. As soon as your photos are finished, I will repost them in the online gallery and send you a download link.

Can I keep my photos private?2023-06-10T18:58:13+02:00

Of course you can. Before our photo shoot, I will provide you with a questionnaire asking your permission whether or not I may share your photos on social media (with or without attribution). If you give me permission to share one or more photos, you will have a chance to win a free print of your favorite photo worth 30 euros.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide the original, unedited photos. My process includes carefully selecting and editing the images to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
