In the spring, I had a fun special, the "golden hour mini-shoots." During that period, you could schedule a Golden Hour photo shoot for a small price at Domein Drie Fonteinen in Vilvoorde. Margaux had booked her maternity shoot when she was heavily pregnant. Fortunately, her baby son stayed in her belly just long enough to make the shoot a success. Margaux came to my studio, where she could put on her pre-chosen dress at her leisure. Then we went on foot to Domain 3 Fountains (because yes, that beautiful domain is really within walking distance from my studio).
In the middle of March, I had a very enjoyable photo shoot with Sherene. She drove from Antwerp to Vilvoorde for a fine and especially versatile studio photo shoot. Sherene wore different dresses during the photo shoot, which allowed us to create incredibly different photos as a result. When I ask Sherene about her favorite part of the shoot, she replies, "I liked the whole thing! We had fun conversations and good laughs. You made me feel comfortable." When I ask her about tips for future clients of mine, she replies, "Enjoy the moment! Enjoy and just listen to
After a very nice pregnancy shoot with mom Mieke and a baby born in full 1st lockdown, I was happy to welcome Milian for his first birthday photo shoot in my photo studio in Vilvoorde! I had already prepared the decor; we chose a relatively neutral background, with some gold accents. The photo shoot became a great pleasure! For smash the cake photo shoots, I also provided different outfits in my studio, like the one Milian is wearing in the photos. That way, you don't have to spend extra money on outfits that your child may never wear again.
In early March, I had agreed to meet with Sarah for a photo shoot at Domein Drie Fonteinen in Vilvoorde. The purpose of our photo shoot was to be able to photograph new dresses to further expand my portfolio. During the photo shoot, Sarah was 30 weeks pregnant. When I ask Sarah what her favorite part of the photo shoot was, she answers, "The chats in between, where you get to know the photographer. That way the photos become even more spontaneous because you feel more at ease. I had no stress before the photo shoot. The communication with
Last year I received an email from Steffie asking if I wanted to photograph her pregnancy. Of course I wanted that with great pleasure, but unfortunately, preeclampsia & premature birth of her baby daughter put a stop to that. So on January 1, Eline was born a tiny girl. After a long period, Steffie and Eline were finally released from the hospital and were able to start their lives at home. Since the maternity shoot could not take place, we had converted it to a newborn photo shoot. So I was incredibly pleased to welcome the brand new little
In early March we had some beautiful, warm days & I had agreed to meet Lynn for a photo shoot at Domein Drie Fonteinen in Vilvoorde. The purpose of our photo shoot was on the one hand to photograph new dresses, and on the other hand to take golden hour photos, 2 birds with one stone! Golden hour is the hour before sunset, when a golden/orange glow falls. My favorite time of day to photograph. During the photo shoot, Lynn was about 28 weeks pregnant. Lynn says, "I was extremely nervous before the shoot but Joke immediately came across
Every month I host Pure Belly Mini-shoots, a short but powerful mini-shoot where you can have your pregnancy captured. During the March edition, Cynthia stopped by for her photo shoot. Cynthia was so incredibly happy with her pregnancy & was in love with her baby daughter even before she was born. Happiness splashed off her face. When I ask Cynthia about her favorite part of the shoot, she replies, "I loved being photographed, to capture this moment of my pregnancy. So I can think back on it regularly." When I ask her about tips for future clients of mine,
In the middle of February, I had a very enjoyable photo shoot with Isabel. She drove from Leuven to Vilvoorde for a fine studio photo shoot. The goal of our photo shoot was to be creative, to create something a little different than usual for a change. So it was super nice that Isabel was open to everything! When I ask Isabel about her favorite part of the shoot, she replies, "Experimenting with different dresses/fabrics and poses! Thereby, the interaction and guidance by Joke was very relaxed and pleasant, she came up with creative suggestions that we then tried
Remember that white week in February? When it was snowing so beautifully? I happened to have scheduled a photo shoot with Stéphanie that week, and even though our scheduled one was a studio photo shoot, we couldn't resist - despite the freezing temperatures - to head outside as well (already lucky that right outside my door in the snow is already fairytale-like!). Stéphanie was 32 weeks pregnant during our photo shoot. The perfect time for a photo shoot. After all, it often happens that after 32 weeks you begin to feel a little less comfortable in your skin. At
Remember that white week in February? When it was snowing so beautifully? I really couldn't resist posting a call on my Social media looking for some pregnant ladies for a fun maternity photo shoot in the snow. I never expected to get much response, but I ended up photographing not 1 but 6 ladies in the snow! What heroes all, because it was freezing cold! 1 of these ladies was Melissa. She came driven to my studio, she chose her favorite outfits & we went to photograph right outside my door in the snow. Each time we went back
